The rain which started at about 9.30am was accompanied with stormy wind that disrupted the movement of persons and vehicles.

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Comrade Ayodele Adewale while granting interview to newsmen after an assessment tour of affected areas noted that the “Government will write to the State Government intimating her of the damages the rain storm had caused the people of this Local Government”.

Comrade Adewale also appealed to residents to take care of their environment. “While I share the pain with you people, I also want to appeal to everyone to take care of their environment. It is wrong for you to block the drainage, trade along the bicycle and walk ways, thereby degrading the environment. We all must come together and keep our environment clean and safe,” he noted.
