COMRADE ADEWALE HONOURED AS GRAND COMMANDER OF THE ORDER OF HUMAN RIGHTS (GCOHR) - AUGUST 2014
 
 

 


The Executive Chairman of  Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Comrade Ayodele Adewale has been honoured with the Grand Commander of the Order of Human Rights in Festac Town by the Committee of the Defence of Human Rights (GCOHR), Festac Branch, a notable human right association. The event took place at 321 road in Festac Town, Lagos.

The President of the Human Right Group, Comrade Kehinde Salawu noted that the Local Government boss has been at the helms of defending the defenseless citizen in the Country and beyond the shores of the Country, hence the recognition. He also lauded the developmental projects in the Local Government, stressing that “the Comrade Chairman has proven doubting Thomas wrong”.

Responding, Comrade Adewale thanked the Human Right group for the honour bestowed on him. He dedicated the award to the Executive Members, Legislators and member of staffs of the Local Government, as well as, the good people of Amuwo Odofin Local Government.

The Local Government boss also drew the attention of residents to the Ebola Virus that is spreading fast in West Africa. He tasked residents and visitors alike to pay attention to their environment. He further emphasized that a clean environment is a first step to stopping the Ebola virus from spreading.
