” I am greatly humbled and honored to be receiving this award. I would like to offer my sincere gratitude to the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools in Lagos State for this honor.
Growing up, I was taught that without education you really could not make it in any part of the world. According to the word of one of the greatest leader that the world have ever had, Nelson Mandela…he stated that “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.
True to this assertion, on assumption of office, we set up a committee headed by the Vice Chairman to look into the deplorable state of our schools, with a view to getting the true condition of things.
Distinguished, as we speak the Committee has submitted the report, and we will soon come out with a Marshall plan on it,” he stated.
He further emphasized the need for Public Private Partnership(PPP).
” This partnership of course will bring more development to the community. Again, we are using this medium to solicits the support of the private sector to join hands with the government in realizing its set goals and objectives.
” The government cannot do it alone. Our government is open to ideas and we definitely allow investors to bring their own ideas and support to move our local government forward”, he posited.
Meanwhile, the Supervisor for Education/Library today presented the award to the Council Chief today at the Council helmsman’s office, at the Council secretariat, Festac Town, Lagos.
