The Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA, Engr. Valentine Buraimoh has called on stakeholders in the Amuwo Odofin project to join hands with the government to tackle the issue of environmental nuisance plaguing the Community.
The Council Chief stressed that ” we all have a say in the re-juvenation of our environment.
” To create a cleaner Amuwo Odofin LGA worthy of her name and a befitting legacy for our children, we must all put our hands on deck to support the government ’s drive for a Cleaner Amuwo Odofin for all.”
Engr. Buraimoh made this disclosure during the presentation of waste bags to stakeholders in the community, including the Community Development Committee, Traders, Market leaders and others.
The Council helmsman averred that the position of the local government on a clean environment still stands and enjoined all to take the issue of a cleaner and safer environment seriously.
He advised residents to stop dumping refuse indiscriminately, bag their waste properly and ensure that they always cultivate the habit of clearing the weeds in front of their homes regularly.
