The Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA, Engr. Valentine Buraimoh has reiterated his administration’s resolve to discover and promote hidden talents in his domain.
He stated that the youths are the cornerstone of societal development, hence they have to be encouraged and supported by government.
The Council helmsman who was represented by the leader of the legislative arm, Hon. Abimbola Oshodi made this known at the press conference to herald the “Face of Amuwo Odofin” Beauty Pageant and Entertainment Talent Hunt Event, which is scheduled to hold in the local government area on December 15, 2017.
He promised to continue to support developmental ideas for the youths in the local government.
The event which is organized by the local government in conjunction with the Concerned Youth Forum of Amuwo Odofin local government area, is aimed at discovering talents, pageant and models who would be absorbed into the entertainment industry.
The Secretary of the Concerned Youths, Comrade Kola Folorunsho while speaking to newsmen noted that “the Talent Hunt and Beauty Pageant tagged:”Face of Amuwo Odofin 2017”, will discover talents, pageants and models that will showcase ladies between the ages of 17 and 26 from within and around Amuwo Odofin Local Government to compete for the title of “Face of Amuwo Odofin” at various audition centers and new entertainers under the Talent Hunt, which will precede the final event.
” The Beauty Pageant, which is the 2nd edition in the local government will showcase 15 contestants who are chosen from the various auditions to compete for the crown and consolation prizes to be given to all the contestants, while the Talent Hunt Entertainment event stands as a side attraction to enable young contestants add value to the society with their talents.”
