HON. BAMIGBETAN, ENGR. BURAIMOH, COMRADE ADEWALE CHALLENGE YOUTH ON NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Youths are the engine room of every nation. The similitude of the importance of youth to nation building could be likened to a car engine, without which, vehicles can’t move, so also without youth, a nation cannot thrive. The role of the youth in nation building is too relevant to be jettisoned – they serve as the back-bone of a society. They can make or mar a nation based on what is programmed in them. They are a feedback system because if they are well equipped and garnished with the best available resources, they give a positive outcome, but, if otherwise, negative outcome should be expected.
Those are the words of the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Lagos State on Communities and Communications, Hon. Bamigbetan; the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA, Engr. Valentine Buraimoh; immediate past Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA, Comrade Ayodele Adewale and other stakeholders at the Amuwo Odofin LGA youth conference tagged: ” Building the future, Creating new directions,” held at the Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale Multi Purpose Hall, council secretariat, Festac Town, Lagos.

Engr. Buraimoh noted that Nigeria is richly blessed, hence the youths should be ready to fulfill their potentials.
” As a government, we will encourage and support the youths to realize their potentials. We will give them the enabling environment and platform to excel,” he noted.
The immediate past Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA, Comrade Ayodele Adewale, who was represented by Comrade Oketoto Oluwaseun averred that ” You remain the most vibrant part of our population and hence we have the wherewithal to change our country for good.
You are not called today and tomorrow leaders for nothing. But, we can only have a foretaste of that glorious tomorrow through the way you conduct yourselves today.”
